I have just seen an item on BBC news which might be interesting to members who use their smartphones as a Sat Nav.  Google Maps is an excellent substitute for a Sat Nav.

However there seems to be some issues with the use of a mobile 'phone in a car while  driving even though it is not being used as a 'phone, with some police forces issuing a ticket to drivers who are purely using the 'phone as a Sat Nav.

Lawyers are calling for the Government to issue clarification as to the use of mobile 'phones.

Hopefully this will be rectified before legislation changes are made in the next few months.

Peter.
