Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum so a word about myself, I an owner of a lovely s type although since I bought it I have been having loads of electrical issues with it.

Hope someone can help me here. I am getting loads of errors such as, dsc not available, abs not available, gearbox fault etc.

I found one broken off cable on a dsc module plug number fh103. I couldn't find where it goes so I had a look at schematics and that surprised me even more when I found that there should be no cable in that pin

http://jagrepair.com/images/Electrical/STypeElectrical/2003 MY S-Type Electrical Guide.pdf

page 26 shows the plug pinout

its a pin number 2 and io have a brown-green cable in it for some reason.

Could someone please have a look if they have any cable in that pin and if so where it goes?

Thank you for a quick reply!

I had a look at that file before i posted my question however my dsc plug is of the type i attached it has 2 thick cables on top and 2 on the bottom. The older s type had 4 thick cables on the bottom thats what you attached. Just so you know what ever the issue is i am not even able to start the car.

joe do you think it might be faulty wiring? i already stripped the front of the car down so will probably tear down the cables and check for any brakage

hi Joe-dot-com I went through all wiring and found few cables that were broke so i re soldered them etc. Although the car still will not start. I think there might be a problem with dsc or ecm unit. Either will need to be reprogrammed or replaced and reprogrammed. Is there any tool that you could recommend me buying? Something within reasonable price of course.
