Hi Rodney,

There should be a code heat embedded in the plastic case of the battery near to or on the top face. The first two/three characters typically refer to the date you're looking for. The alpha character should be in the range A to L or M where A=January and L or M equals December (some manufacturers omit the 'I' as its thought to confuse. The single or double numeric digit indicates the year.

You should note though that the date can also mean various things other than manufacture date e.g. Start of Warranty, Date originally charged, and others.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Steve

The Jaguar Dealer who put the previous battery on my car put a sticker with the date on.

I have done the same.

Replaced battery with 80Ah. The battery taken off was the original dated 08 but 70Ah, so its done quite well really. Fixed label on top so I know when replaced.

Cheers

Rod
