I found this link which we can buy parts for X type but it's difficult to identify part #. Such as for brake pad for front and rear are fit for all car year 2001-2009? And front brake rotor for VIN #D6025 up so means VIN #G5133 up will not use this front brake rotor. Any idea please

Hi Johny and Welcome to the Club,

Check out suppliers on eBay or via Google to go to some of the bigger parts suppliers. If you search on X Type Brake Pads on either you should be able to find suppliers of reputable parts and the eBay or suppliers web site will prompt you to enter details of your car to ensure the parts are compatible.

You can also get hold of full kits, pads and rotors, and you will be able to compare different suppliers and manufactures prices for the same parts.

Hope this helps.

Cheers and Good Luck,

Steve

Hi all,

I searched parts for brake from eBay and Amazon then I think Brembo dish rotor, pads are good price. Then I can order and change the rusted one. For caliper I can get it painted but I really don't know if old calipers work well with new dish rotor? If you all have any ideas then please advise. Thank you

Hi Again Johny,

Provided the calliper slide bolts move freely and there are no leaks around the piston you will be able to use the calliper with new rotors and pads. Check the bolts for easy movement after thoroughly cleaning the the metal faces of the calliper where the brake pads are located. Your should be able to pull the bolts gently back toward the car to their full extent and return to fully closed when you release the bolt head. If needed you can get kits to replace the slide bolts, rubber haters, et al.

By the way, make sure you remove the Brake Fluid reservoir lid before trying to push the calliper pistons back.

Hope this also helps.

Steve
