Hi.

Just taken possession of a 2002 X type right hand drive in reasonable condition with exception of many of the "plastic" components, seem the high temp. has played  havoc with it.

As you can imagine spare parts and info. is sparse -- -  actually non existent.

I have a couple of immediate problems if some can assist:

1. the drivers side dipped beam (outer) HID globe is dead, can it be replaced or do I need to source a complete head lamp assemble?

2. the air/con.  on/off / speed control switch is faulty - is it replaceable?

3.How do I cancel the auto door locking function ?

Would appreciate any guidance I can get

Thanks

Ian

For number 3. Search you tube. " de-activate automatic door lock jaguar x type"

Worked for me.

Thanks for the info, actually I have sorted the problem. I followed the instructions many many many times and finally gave up on it - then one day just for fun  I tried it again and bingo -  it de-activated - one of life's little mysteries.
