Do the v6's have vvt? I know its old technology now but i have no idea. I know the engine was designed by porsche, built by ford and cosworth and has links with mazda. Mazda call it there k series engine. Im sure the gear box is from mazda. Just learning about the engine, hopefully once the steering pump is done i can spend some time on the engine.

i've got one parked on the drive and i think its pretty safe to say a big nope... power is ridiculously linear, and it's a properly lazy map on it too (only creating <200bhp) its my only gripe with it if i'm honest, could have been made to feel a little pokier in the higher rev range, maybe chucked on a charger or something like its big brothers.

😳

'improved fuel efficiency' lols... id hate to see what it struggled to achieve without VVT

i stand corrected, not for the first time and most certainly not for the last.

i still think its underpowered 😉

Hi

Usually put on for emissions not power

But cars with variable timing respond better to remapping  than cars without

Cheers
