Hi,

I am new to the forum and hope maybe somebody can help out,

I have a problem with my XF 2009 2.7D with restricted performance and the DSC light coming on. The problem seems to happen when putting the foot down to accelerate, driving steady, or on the motorway with the cruise control on doesn't seem to bring on the error.

I have changed both the Mas Airflow meters as I was getting this fault on a reader I have, but still having problems, I clear the error codes on the reader, go for a drive and the problems happen, put the reader on and I get the same errors, I will try attach an image of the errors .. its still reading Mass air flow errors, and Injector control pressure low ... its only a basic reader so not sure how good that info is.

Also had a new battery on and still get the same problems

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

hi

its worth try to replace the the diesel fuel filter first, that can cause resistance and cause low fuel pressure

the maf might just want cleaning, you can get maf cleaner, its a solvent you spray on and it cleans any residue off and completely eveaporates

the maf fault is common with people that run a K&N panel filter in the standard air box, Oil is transfered to the maf and causes issues

cheers

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reply, actually it has just had the fuel filter and air filter changed a few weeks ago when it went in for a service, we were experiencing these issue's before so thats why I arranged the service just in case it was anything that you have suggested with the filters, I will try cleaning the MAF's with some cleaner and see what that does.

Cheers
