Wondering if there are any after market options for replacing the fuel pump. Huge cost for the normal part.

Welcome to the Club, John.

It is possible to get a used fuel pump from a car breaker, and some of them will export to the US [if President Trump will allow it].

Can you tell me the cost of a fuel pump in the US and  I will make some enquiries re prices in the UK.  It is also possible that the part could be much cheaper in the UK, and I do know a supplier who will export a part.
