As a child I remember watching a series 2 XJ6 driving past every weekday and promised myself i would one day have one. Then some years later my father invited me to join him taking a series 3 sovereign 4.2 for a test drive. I was drooling at the prospect of my dad owning a jag, knowing that i'd get a drive in it too. My father never got that series 3, it was longer than his garage. Models came and went, most of which I liked but could never afford. Then, this year I was able to retire early and despite my wife not liking them, i've just got myself a retirement present. I am now the proud and very chuffed owner of a Jaguar XF 3L diesel. It's only taken me 55 years, but i got there in the end.

Hi Ian and Welcome to the Club,

Its never too late to get the grin and once you have it it only ever leaves you if you move to another marque. Best stick with the club, we have some fairly militant members.

Cheers and enjoy.

Steve
