2015 2.2d (200hp) Portfolio.

Always fancied a Jag, the missus didn't take much convincing after driving it!

Any tips? is the Jaguar Remote thing worth it?

I'm really quite looking forward to Friday afternoon!!

Just make sure all your paperwork is up to date ie 12 months mot, serviced and service book stamped and service light took off.

I speak with experience 😁

We’re getting it from a main dealer, FSH, 2 years Jaguar warranty, fresh MOT.

Beautiful machine.

I’m Peugeot main dealer trained as a mechanic so normally service my own cars, but I think I will either take it to a main dealer or local specialist to keep the stamps in the book.

I’m not on the spanners any more so don’t fancy rolling around underneath this one.

My 5 year old keeps singing that Feeder song “He’s got a brand new car, looks like a Jaguar...”

I'm sure you will enjoy it as I do mine.   I got mine from a main dealer with the 2 yr warranty also.   The only problem I had initially was the battery was not holding its charge properly so some of the electronics didnt work properly and they swapped it  out for a new battery.    I have the Sportbrake version as I love the shape.

What is the "Remote" thing you referred to in your post ?

Welcome to the Forum, Ken I am sure you will love the car as much as I love mine, only had it three months but still brings a smile to my face every time I drive it.

Jaguar Remote is the iPhone App that lets you see the status of certain systems, where it is parked, journey history, etc.

I haven’t looked overly much into it yet.

The electronics seem to be a common thing these.

Cheers. It’s about time we had a properly nice car. The Mrs wanted a Mondeo.... to begin with!

Ken, Mine wanted a Mondeo or something similar as well, been there and done that many years ago, as we were trading in a Volvo XC90 I thought the Mondeo was a step too far, having previously had a Jaguar X-Type prior to the Volvo and on looking at the XF Portfolio we bought it was "no competition", the quality of finish and the old Jaguar feeling of being surrounded by the car in superb leather comfort it was a done deal.   She now loves the XF as much as I do.  Looking forward to a wee trip down to York and the North Yorkshire Dales.

The jaguar remote is only on the new model with the 2.0l diesel, don’t think your one has it but might be wrong.

Hi Ken, and welcome to the Club. You will have picked up your lovely XF today and I look forward to your comments. I am sure that you will have that Jaguar grin already!

Whereabouts in Tyne & Wear are you? I am in Ryton.

Now just enjoy the car and the Club!

We’re enjoying the car,  even my 5 year old is refusing to go in our second car which is a Focus....

Over in South Shields.

Taking it for a long run next weekend for a Town match. A good run down to Sunny Suffolk.
