hi all, new owner here. silly question are the cigar lighters/ 12v power outputs live all the time? or just when ignition on? any help would be grateful

I would imagine only live when ignition on but very easy to check - just plug something like a phone charger in and see the result.

Only when the ignition is on, I use mine for my dashcam, a couple of minutes after I turn the engine off the dashcam will go off.
