Hi just bought my first Jaguar at 72 years old a 2002 X Type 2.1 petrol auto with 89000 miles on the clock and it drives  as sweet as a nut as they say. I have always wanted a jag going back to when i was a kid  and all the films always had the crooks driving Mk 2s, so my dream was always a 3.8s cant afford one of those so hence the X Type.

Good morning Howard, Like you I bought my first Jag in my seventy`s. Xtype 2.2 diesel auto 2008 and it drives beautifully, a real drivers car. Look after yours as it really likes good regular maintenance and best fuel.

Cheers

Rod

Welcome to the club, Howard.   I have fond memories of my last Jag 2.5 V6 AWD X-Type.  Had it six years and except for regular service items, the only additional cost was an ABS wheel sensor.
