Hi

can anyone help, immediately I start the car I get a Tyre Pressure System Fault yellow triangle warning, the yellow tyre warning light flashes for a about a minute and then stays on. The tyre pressures are fine with no loss of air.

Is there anyway to switch of these warning lights?

Thanks

Robert

Hi Robert

Not sure what gauge you are using to measure the pressures but possibly try one or two psi more in each tyre to see if that switches the light off and if necessary reduce the pressure if it doesn't work.

A lot of petrol station forecourt pressure gauges are way off the mark so this could be the reason why the light is on

Hi I have tried this without success.

sounds like the sensors need reprogramming to read the current pressures.
you would need specialist equipment to carry out this procedure, but shouldn't cost much at a reputable Jaguar specialist repairer.

Hi, I keep getting Tire Pressure System Fault warning on the display of my 2008 XF. I’ve have it looked at by a Jag garage and KwikFit, they sync all the sensors and warning goes away. When I drive the car for approx 30-40mins, the warning comes back. I did have the valves and 1 TPMS module replaced (by KwikFit). Anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve?

I had this on my XFS six years ago. Very annoying, and in my case it seemed to be linked to wet roads, so I assume that water was getting in to the sensors. I sold the car (not for that reason) soon after it started happening, so never did resolve it.

I am not a fan of TPMS or Oil level warnings, much preferring to check pressures and levels for myself.

My XF was a great car though, and I only sold it because I retired, didn’t need four seats any more, and wanted petrol rather than diesel.

I had this for 2 days on my 2015 XF Sport brake, I am told it could be water in the sensors so i puffed some air into the wheels and the message is now gone. Phew 🙂
