2009 Jaguar XFS (275bhp) 3.0D Premium Luxury

Probably one of the nicest examples around of this fantastic car. It has been extremely well maintained and has no issues.

This is the very fast S version with 600nm of torque given a 0-60 in less than 6 secs (previously I had a v8 S type R and I honestly believe this is quicker). In normal drive mode it is quiet and comfortable - a great long journey cruiser, in Sport & Dynamic mode it turns into a very capable sport saloon, the chassis is so good you can have some fun on A and B roads. It also has flappy paddles but in Sport I prefer to let the very capable ZF 6 speed do the work for you.

In my ownership it has been shown plenty of TLC, had a full service, Plus all the 10 year/100k mile stuff -  full ZF transmission service and software update, timing belt and fuel pump belt (by an independent Jag specialist)  I have also replaced the front wishbone arms and bushes, front and rear brake pads and discs. Plus I changed the glitchy satnav drive so that works nicely now.

The interior is clean and tidy and is the modern Jag style, black leather with the alloy and wood trim so it looks more contemporary and less “old man”!

Premium Luxury trim gives you, amongst other things, heated and fully electrically adjustable front seats. Other useful features include a working sunroof, and folding 60/40 rear seats, making the huge boot even bigger. It has parking sensors all round plus a rear camera, and I will also leave in place the front and rear dash cam system (will require a micro SD card). The infotainment system sounds superb - one of the best I’ve heard, has CD, bluetooth phone connectivity, USB, aux in, and a dedicated iPod port.

It has the very nice 20inch alloys with good tyres all round (2 brand new Hankooks) I also have a set of 18inch alloys with Tomket winter tyres which I will include for the asking price.

Bodywork is good and straight but has the usual stone chips and tiny dings commensurate with age, there is no rust, the underside is very clean.

I don't keep cars very long and I now have new itch to scratch for a rotary - I would love to keep this but with 2 other cars I need the space and the money. However I know how good this car is so won't be accepting silly offers.

It has an MOT until mid March (will be getting a new one in mid Feb to maintain anniversary date but will get one earlier at buyers request).

This car will give years and thousands of miles of trouble free motoring.
