Tyres

Afternoon everyone, my tyres are getting within a couple of thousand miles of needing replacement and they are Goodyear Eagle F1. I know the quality of them is good so am just looking for advice on any other tyres that are still suitable (preferably cheaper) but definitely not Japanese no grips.  Any thoughts much appreciated

I should have added that about the cheapest I’ve found the F1s is ASDA tyres.

regards

Pete

Hi Pete,

As I keep reminding myself (in terror!), when I bought my 2011 XF-S (15 months ago), it had Chinese 'Triangle' tyres fitted. Horrendous!

Quickly swapped for Pirelli P-Zero Assymetrico, immediate improvement! They were about £200 a corner at KwikFit (235/35x20), which I thought was reasonable. Rears will need replacing soon (too much S mode for the gearbox!!!).

Apparently, the Pirellis are what Jaguar recommended at the time the car was made.

Hope this helps and good luck with your search.

Cheers,
Jon

Hi Jon, thanks for the reply. I went to ATS, and they were very near what you have just quoted. I was speaking to an old friend and he suggested Black Circles and ASDA. Both were within a few pounds of each other and way cheaper than the high street.

Hi I have been running Falken azenis fk510 which I have found to be better than my Goodyear and also the pirelli, also about £110 per corner, they are noticable quieter. I now fit them to all my cars.
