I have just bought a jag xf 2011 diesel to it to local jag specialist as seller said it needed a front offside parking sensor replacing and this was knocking the camera out.   they gave it back today with problem solved and charged me £120 which is fair enough, however a weird problem arose I bought the car with 2 keys one quite battered I asked the guy a garage to check it and he said the transponder was not working  he put me a new battery in it and said it was working now and no further charge which was nice of him however when I came out of the garage all of the car windows were down which I though was odd anyway got home and got out locked car and about 30 seconds later windows automatically opened again, so started car raised windows and tried again. message on dash said smart key battery was low which I had not seen before so I tried again with the old tatty key with new battery and same again.  I rang garage and explained he told me to try removing the new battery from the tatty key that he had just fitted I did this and everything worked alright again he said he would look at it for me next time it was in as I have asked him to look at other things for me, I am curious as to what might be going on here and wonder if any experienced  XF owners can educate a newby any information or suggestions would be very welcome as I want to get to understand my car.

thanks all

Hi hoddyman, I have an xf 2.2d prestige for about a month now. There is a setting on the screen for global opening/closing. Might be worth turning that off and see if it makes a difference. Hope this helps and please keep us posted on any news you get.
