Hy all,

I finally purchased my dream car late last year, a very end of production x308 which went to Japan, registered over there in August 2003, 4 litre, every conceivable extra fitted, reimported into UK in August 2019 with 39000 miles and purchased by myself.

The car was after a month put into storage until now, I've been longing for the fine weather to finally be able to take it out, I was planning to go to as many jaguar events throughout the summer months to show her off, but now with this corona virus it's probably meaning she's gonna be kept garaged up again.

Only fault I can find on the car is a slightly noisy fuel pump, been told it could go on been noisy forever or may pack in, do I replace it or leave it? Most people don't notice it until you tell them, so I know it's there and listening for it so for peace of mind I'm thinking it should be replaced. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Tony......welcome to the Club

Its a fine looking XJ and lovely for it to be fully loaded and original.
It's waited this long to come out of hibernation whats a little longer on the scale of things I suppose.

The pump may settle down once its been used for a while, best bet is wait and see what occurs.

Good to have you onboard

Hy all,

Just a quick update, I took the car to Jagtek in Stockton upon Tees, I just couldn't drive the car without peace of mind, they replaced the pump and now we have silence 😁, Great service from Jaguar trained enthusiasts.
