Recommended Engine oil for 4.2 Supercharged? Jaguar XF SV8 2008

I usually use Castrol 5w30 A5 ACEA A1/B1

Thanks

hi

I have the S-type R, which has the same engine

mines had Castrol edge pro 5w30 in it from new, was also used by all the Jaguar services

Engine in mine is still like new, very quiet, very smooth, uses no oil,

can't go wrong with premium castrol oils

its not cheap, I look through the year when places have deals, but my tyres or 123 oils are usually the cheapest

cheers

I usually use premium castrol aswell, just wanted to check if anyone recommends anything else, cars due for a service soon so I thought I'd do some research as we are stuck in lockdown and im running out of things to do!

We share the same braking system aswell no? including suspension?

Thanks Joe

Hi

yes uses same floor pan, same suspension

mines a 2004, so has all  the brembo brakes, which work very well

cheers

Joe
