Hi all, hope everyone is staying safe.

It’s time unfortunately to sell my S-type which I bought when I required a Hip Replacement as it was too painful to use my Mercedes SL! I’m all mended now!

If anyone has the time (!) at present to offer an opinion, I would be grateful.

I’ve looked to see current values and can not see any with the same Interior as mine, they all seem to be Cream, Brown and Wood. Is mine that unusual or rare?

hi

what year is it looks like a post 2004 car

as it has the aluminium trim, which is quite popular and its also got the round dials on the dash, which would make it post 2004

have you a pic  of front and rear, see what shape, model it is

cheers

Hi Joe, thank you for your response! It’s a 2005 3.0 Petrol. I shall give her a quick wash and put up a couple of photos today, suns out!

It looks like a Sport model due to the dove/granite two tone interior paired with the aluminium trim ?

If so, have a look at similar Sport models on Autotrader to get a feel for a realistic selling price.

Me again, given her a quick wash and here are the results, I think she looks nice! It has covered 108k miles, I guess it’s low

considering her age, 15 years old, wow!

any suggestions on an asking price would be most welcome. Thank you once again and stay safe!

Without wishing to state the obvious, it is worth what someone is willing to pay, especially in the current market.

It is (in my opinion) one of the best colour combinations for a Sport model S-TYPE, it doesn't have the factory option navigation but not really a massive issue on a 15 year old car.

A quick look on Autotrader revealed that there are only 6x petrol S-TYPE Sport's for sale at present, prices seem to range from £2,295 up to £2,995 ?

All of them are for sale with 'traders' rather than private individuals, some people expect a private sale to be cheaper due to the sometimes imaginary ' benefits' of buying from the trade but on this age of car, I think the condition will be the biggest influence on what someone will pay ?

It might be worth using one of the free online valuation tools to get a feel for the current 'bottom line'

Best of luck with the sale.

hi

I find eBay is the best place as it has the widest audience

only way is see what other similar models fetch and adjust for mileage, optional extras and service history

put plenty of pictures up and all history

sell as a classified so not to get hit with fees, also worth putting on marketplace just incase some one local is after one, its free so worth a try

cheers

thanks Joe, I know it’s probably the worst time ever to try and sell a car but for £15 I thought I would give EBay a go. Like my other 2 cars, it’s not going anywhere soon!
