I have a 2.0d x type, on a 54 plate ...and I found that my headlamp glass was dull at the top and had a tide mark half way across each lamp, both sides. ! so I set too with a can of wd 40 and my farecla g3 liquid compound. mixed to a paste on the glass then plenty of elbow grease/rubbing into the glass. done this twice on each headlamp . and this was my finish... pretty good I think, so i shall do this each year on the old girl. 171002285_headlamps.thumb.JPG.5c55225871ed6e6d383abfad87058ba1.JPG1182527953_wdg3compond.thumb.JPG.0ef4b2f22acc7107e68d662fb88754e1.JPG

Hi David.  I have a similar issue with my nearside headlights; very rough/cloudy at the top.  Offside are clear, so maybe they were replaced before I bought the car.  Went on-line to buy a proprietary headlamp restoration kit, but it was out of stock.  Have wondered about any abrasive cream cleaner.  Hadn't heard of Farecla; is it similar to T-Cut?.  Have used Brasso and Duraglit  in the past to polish Perspex with good results.  Any thoughts or recommendations?

Hi Steve.  Thanks for your comment ref Brasso.  I had a go at this yesterday and the results are very good.  Will perhaps try the T-Cut and WD40 idea next year if needed.
