Help please.

My 2004 S-type 2.5 V6 died a couple of weeks ago.  The call-out mechanic confirmed that the fuel pump had failed.  However I am getting conflicting information.  One garage says that the fuel pump and fuel level sender are in one unit but another says that they are two separate units.  I think that the latter is correct as there are two units in the fuel tank.  The one on the offside is a pump with the part no. 2R83-AF and the other on the nearside has part no.2R83-AG. As the fuel gauge failed a few months ago I suspect that both units have failed. Sounds expensive !

If they are separate units can anyone tell me where I can get replacements please?.

I did the briefest Google and threw up a number of options for fuel pump at ~拢75, so not too bad. But clearly you'll need to dig a bit deeper to ensure these are compatible with your car. I've found Berkshire Jag Spares pretty knowledgeable in the past, so worth a call if they're still open during lockdown.

Good luck! Russ 馃槈
