Hi All,

Just joined this group and excited to get to finally have a jag 😊, i recently bought my XE (Below) and i got it for an amazing deal at £11K and got epic alloys along with it.

One thing i am kind of concerned is that there 90k on the clock and i always us avoided high mileage but this car was in excellent condition along with one owner which was a company car so i assume these would be motorway miles along with full jaguar service history.

So basically have i made a mistake or can this community of Jag fans confirm i am over worrying 🤣

Basically i am asking whats the clubs opionion on buying high millage cars such as a 4 year XE at 90k ?

No replys! High Mileage must be a taboo topic 🤔🤣😊

Hi Brendan,

High mileage is not an issue.  A lot depends on how the engine is treated  and whether the  body of the car is generally good.

Jaguars are well built and the Ingenium engines on the XE are made in Wolverhampton are are a good new design.

Regards,

Peter.

No Brendan, high mileage on its own should not be a problem, I once had a Rover 216, sold it with 178000 miles on the clock, apart from routine items like Oil changes, brake pads etc the only expense was a bush replacement cost under £15.00.

90,000 is peanuts compared to what some taxi drivers put on their clocks.
