Voice Commands not working/missing? 17 XF

Just got a used 2017 XF S.  Love it.

learning to use the features, but the Voice Commands are unresponsive or missing. Wife bets it’s with the car but I bet it’s not an option.

settings has voice commands as an option but no tutorial or other options. 

How can I find out for sure?

One of the two things my s type has not got is Voice Command. [The other is TV].

I am very happy about that as I do not wish to have an argument with a car!
