I have a 2013 XF Sportbrake in the middle of the rear bumper is a small D shaped hach that can be removed, behind is the electric socket and what looks like a bracket for a removable towbar but I have searched the car and can't find the hook. I've tryed the internet but can't find what should be there or even any other Sportbrakes with the same hach. Does anyone know if it is jaguar fitted and if I can get a replacement hook.

Welcome to the club, Stuart,

I used to tow a caravan when I was younger but never towed with a Jaguar,

I have seen several Jaguars with tow bars and I do know that the XF is  good for towing.

Jaguar will have the answer and so will companies who fit tow bars.

Let us know how you get on,

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Stuart, I've a 2014 Sportbrake and it has the factory fitted tow hitch. The hook section and retaining bolt are retained in the wheel well space and are kept in a purpose built polystyrene foam casing. I bought the jag from a dealer and they took great effort to show me how to  attach and remove it (quite straightforward). When I suggested he just leave the tow hitch fitted he looked at me and said, "this is a jaguar you know, only show the tow hitch when it is being used"

Just had another look and no hook or box just one for the compressor, tyre inflation kit and towing eye for the front. I'll have to try and contact Jaguar but thanks for all the posts
