2 questions.....

Hi all,

As a newbie to Jag ownership (2017 XF), I have a couple of questions I hope someone out there can answer.....

 

1. is there a way to lock the wipers in the service position? I have figured out how to get them there, but when the ignition system automatically shuts off after about 10 mins, they return to the park position. 10 mins may be enough to change a blade, but it’s nowhere near long enough to properly clean the screen.....does anyone know if this 10 min auto shut off can be over ridden?

 

2. This one may sound stupid, but as I said, this is my first Jag. When driving normally, the front DRLa are obviously illuminated, but are the tail lights on too? From what I’ve seen of other XFs on the road, the pre 2016 models look to leave the tail lights off, but I THINK the later models put them on. I want to know if the tail lights are on during normal driving for times when light is good but there is spray flying around.
