XF Portfolio hazard lights issue

Hi Guys, my 15 plate XF has decided to turn on the hazard lights when I enter the car and I'm unable to turn them off.  Start the engine and they are still flashing.  Turn it off and they stop.  Start again and they're off.  

Confused?.  I am.  This started two days ago so I'm sort of thinking along the lines of water having got in somewhere, but then I wouldn't expect them to stop on second start up.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
