Hi all I’ve just had a second hand engine ajd7g but to my disappointment it has a tapping coming from it and seems louder underneath the car and have been told it is piston slap 

could this be right are can it be something else?

Hi Mark --sorry to hear you have a problem ---what ever the tapping is I'm sorry to say it should not be there >????
