xj6 tdvi has a vibration

my 2007 xj6 2.7 diesel is getting to me now i have had a vibration that seems to be through the steering wheel. When she is cold you can feel it around 40mph and when you are accelerating but when warm it only seems to happen over 65 ish. changed discs and pads had new wish bones on front and new tyres front and back then balanced and checked again.   now run out of ideas?? could the tracking cause this ? any help would be very much appreciated.thanks

I'm interested in this too, I have exactly the same thing. Just picked the car up today and noticed it at around 70mph on the way home, but it doesn't seem to be there when accelerating, just holding a steady speed. Mine's an 09 XF 3.0 diesel.

Spent a year tracking similar issues on my 2009 2.7. Did all you did, plus 4 wheel alignments etc. Was driving me crazy. Now fixed. Was very simple and cheap. The two splined washers that hold the brake discs in place on the hubs were rusted when we fitted new discs on fronts I didn't bother to gut new ones. People say they are just loose ones to hold discs in place when you assembling. In desperation to fix I purchased 4 from SNG Barretts and fitted. 2 per front wheel on the 5 studs to 2 studs between 2 and 1 stud between on the other side. Guess what....no more wobble! The discs of course should be clamped fine by the wheel, but even though torqued up nuts correctly, the discs must have been a minute bit off centre without the centering washers. So to me, they are necessary. Also, if you have aftermarket wheels at all that use spigot ring adaptors, make sure the rings don't have a deep chamfer on the internal edges as the hub centres on on these cars are not deep.enough to run through the taper into the centre flush part of the spigot ring. Again, a minute dimension difference as one would expect the studs to centre to the wheel perfectly. Nope, that one caught me out as well until I purchased some cheap Chinese ones with only a small chamfer, and threadlocked into the wheel recess. Love and learn. Now have perfect no wobble car!
