Jaguar Land Rover Range Rover Diagnostic IDS SDD JLR PRO 160.04 FULL CHIP Cable

Have purchased a new diagnostic as above and in fact a stand alone Laptop to use it on.

Can anyone advise if a "User Manual" or "Instruction Manual" is available for this equipment and where/how it might be obtained. Any information would be useful and I would be greatly appreciative.

Many thanks and Best Wishes

ebay.   just type in -----           Jaguar-S-Type-Car-Owner-Operator-Manuals

Can find absolutely nothing in the way of manual, Owner manual, Instructions. User manual etc, etc., and any mention of  Diagnostic IDS SDD JLR PRO, just produces the actual diagnostic item itself .

Many thanks and Best Wishes.

hi

just a warning, if your using it for diagnostics its fine

if your going to try programing any thing, make sure dvd 2 is installed, thats all the module software and updates

the software does not check first, it deletes the software in the module and then looks for the new software and if dvd 2 is not installed, then its too late, its been wiped

also you need a descent battery charger connected as well, at all times, when you doing updates or programing, it asks you to turn ignition off and on many times, which can flatten the battery quite quick, if the battery goes below a certain voltage mid programing it may corrupt the module beyond repair

cheers

Many thanks for the warning you have given me, I know the laptop I purchased (2/Hand) has mention of DVD. BUT to be very honest your kind warning means very little to me. I am not computer technical very informed. The laptop I use in the house is running Windows 10 and I get along quite well using it, but if anything needs doing to anything my son in law always sorts it out. I have attached hereto the eBay Link to the Laptop I have purchased. Would appreciate your taking a look at it and informing me of my fate with what I have purchased.

As for keeping the car battery charged, no problem as I have already invested in a new OTEK MS 7.0, heeding your previous warnings how the S Type can be heavy on battery power usage.

Many thanks for yet again being a pool of knowledge and very helpful.
