Brake light problem on my 58 XK 150

Having problem with brake lights not coming on when brake pedal is depressed, have checked fuses and bulbs and they are alright.  Don’t know what else to check, running lights and turning signals work.  Any suggestions?

Think I have figured this out, I believe that the brake light switch has gone bad.  I have ordered a new one and will try that. Will let you know.
