I'm cross-posting this in a couple of different owner's forums, in case you see it elsewhere as well.

I have google the heck out of this and haven't found any specific answer. 2011 XF (US) On any door except for the driver's door, when the car is locked, I can pull on the door handle and the car unlocks and the door opens. On the driver's door, I have to pull the door handle twice, once unlocks the door, the second pull opens it. I recently replaced the latch assemblies for both front doors and that took care of the locks cycling on their own, I also replaced the inner door handle cable because that broke when I disconnected it. But now this issue with the driver's door handle. I found one thread where someone fixed this by replacing the door handle base due to a bad microswitch, but I did that and it didn't fix it. Is it normal to have to pull the driver's door handle twice to open the door? Or has anyone experienced this and found the solution? Thanks for any help!

Hi Nick,

This may not be particularly helpful, but...

I also have a 2011 XF (3.0l diesel S). It does exactly as you would expect - no need to double pull to open. So you clearly have a gremlin in the works somewhere. I've looked at the owner's manual and can find nothing to suggest an option to invoke a double pull - why would there be? Makes no sense! Taking it to a Jaguar dealer would be expensive, so, although annoying, I think I'd tolerate it.

Cheers,
Jon
