If they are not available (and I have never seen anything to suggest they are), is it possible that the club can look into acquiring some/having some made, for purchase. May be they would need to be paid for (I.E. Ordered) by members wanting them before they are manufactured. Could be that the club might consider asking the question if a source of manufacture could be found.

Hi Mark,

I have never seen a metal badge, may be Admin can tell us.

I have seen advertised on eBay an American badge - Jaguar Owners Club was it one of those possibly on Gum Tree?

Kind Regards,

Julie.

Hi i do not think so as the same person also had other badges for cars as well (one being the royal yacht club in Falmouth). It looked like a jaguar head in the middle of a steering wheel.

Maybe a copy then, have been looking around and there are a lot with st christopher's  with the jaguar badges that are different.

Hi have looked at the drivers club badge and it does look very similar to this apart from the lettering and the jaguar head is a little different. ( maybe to get around copy rights).

This is a great idea but not sure of production costs, copyright and also external metal badges may be considered illegal regarding any injuries due to sharp objects protruding from the front of the car.....typical example is the 'Leaping Cat' which could inflict fatal injuries if you happened to hit a pedestrian.

Back in the day it was quite common to see Badge Bars below the radiator grille on a lot of cars but a very rare sight now.....maybe due to the above reason?

However, we have redesigned the new Club Stickers to become a windscreen badge, similar to a Grille Badge replacing the side window stickers we used for many years.
Will certainly look out for something else we could use similar to a Grille Badge, maybe made from plastic though

I believe that if it were enquired into on the grounds of an acceptable plastic badge of some description that members would probably be prepared to commit to and or pay for the badges production up front of delivery. May be you should organise a poll or similar into the subject.

I believe that if the production of a badge as long as it were acceptable presentation, even if of plastic production, this would be welcomed by members. It is possible that members would be prepared, on site of the proposed badge, to order and pay up front to enable the production to happen. Perhaps you could organise a poll or similar to verify the popularity of the idea/proposal.

hi just reading the posts and not sure about the " external metal badges may be considered illegal" as i agree with what is said in the post but, why would other clubs still be able to sell them and in fact one club you can get a discount if you buy it when joining.  Lol time maybe Jaguar could make a rubber leaping cat.

What about something simple like an enamel badge for a jacket? It doesn't specifically need to be put on a car, but we could wear them or add them to a collection?

Would go for the car Badge but not the pin Badge as there so small no one would be able to read what it said unless there right next to you. (my own personal opinion).

I need a couple of self adhesive badges for the windscreen if they are available. Think they need to be on cars that will be attending Simply Jaguar at Beaulieu . Please update me if they are available or what is available for the windscreen to identify the club.

Many thanks and Regards, John

Beaulieu send out parking passes which carry the club name and you will need to print it out and put it in the windscreen, they will then direct you to the club stand area
