Hi All

Having owned a F-Pace for nearly 5 years, I believe I am fast approaching that time when my battery will need to be replaced.

If I were to undertake this myself, are there any processes specific to the F-Pace that should be followed in order to ensure a successful replacement?

I have found this post that appears to by S Type specific, however I am unsure if the same process is appropriate to follow or are other procedures recommended. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Keeping a supply to the car whilst changing the battery saves a mass of messing around. Sometimes referred to as a "Tender". I have my S Type set up with my CTEX MXS 7.0 so as I can keep a supply to the car whilst removing the terminals from the battery. If you do not have, or do not want to invest in buying equipment to do this I feel sure that certain battery suppliers will have a means of doing this whilst they fit a new battery for you. I am guessing but I would suggest the likes of Halfords or similar would have the necessary bit of kit to do this job. It has surely got to be worth a telephone call to them.

Good luck with the job .  Best Wishes and Regards, John

Hi John

Thank you for the detail and advice you have provided in your response.

I actually have a CTEK charger so will look to use it as a tender whilst I swap out the battery.

Thanks

Rob I am not 100% certain but I do believe it is only the MXS 7.0 that can be used for this purpose. CTEX refer to it as  "Supply", which is a mode you manually select. Good luck and hope you get your battery successfully changed.

Not quite, the 10 has the same supply function.
