Hi, everyone! My 2009 X-Type has been losing letters of its rear boot badge... the "swept", elongated, slanted badge that was a beautiful touch to the car when I bought it last September. The only replacement lettering I've been able to find has been the chunky 2007-ish badge, which I'm hesitant to slap on the boot. Does anyone know where I can source the correct 2009 (facelift) badge? Thanks so much!

Jon, is this the one you are looking for. There are many types for sale on eBay and the likes.

Cheers, John

John, thanks... but I can't see any link! Or pic! Am I looking in the wrong place? Re the badge — I keep going back to eBay but can only find the old style badge. Argh!

It seems I forgot to put the link in. However if you have already checked eBay then I am sure the badge I was referring to would not be what you were looking for. Good luck with your search. There are some breakers around who often specialise in Jaguar bits. Perhaps you could search for them and find something.

Sorry to have caused confusion. Regards, John

Ah, well, thanks for the effort anyhow! I've been ringing round Jag specialists and it seems that the swooshy badge is actually the older type and the only one anybody can get hold of is the blocky one. I guess I'll have to get used to disappointment... sniff, sniff...

Jon,

This is the link that I was looking at, but I am not even sure of which type/style of badge you are looking for. Picture would be educational if you have one.

Best Wishes and Good Luck with you searching.  Regards, John

Yep, been there, done that! Ended up going directly to Jaguar, Coventry, their classic jag parts folks. Managed to find the right badge... at a mere £58! Yipes! But, then, soon enough my car will be whole again...
