Hi, I'm looking for supporting evidence of successful warranty claims for corrosion to the rear discs on the F Pace. Lots of reports re the issue, but has anyone been successful in getting JLR to accept a claim?

Mine can't be the only F Pace where it is obvious that the pads, inner and outer are not being applied to the face of the disc as designed, corrosion can only occur where the pads are not sweeping the face of the disc evenly and across the whole of the face of the pad.

But getting JLR to 'understand' that is proving difficult, and don't get me started on the Motor Ombudsman! Whoever is paying their salary is wasting money!

Get the word around and let's start some momentum - please!

I have exactly the same issue on my 21MY F Pace. The dealer put this down to wear and tear even though vehicle has done less than 10K miles.  If the issue was due to wear and tear then why is the pitting across only 50% of the width of the discs. There are no similar issues with front discs. The dealer did raise the issue Jaguar warranty but they said wear and tear.

I complained to to Jaguar and they advised that they had  investigated my complaint with warranty and engineering teams advising that there was no problem other than wear and tear.

This issue is yet another I have had with this vehicle and I am seriously considering cutting my losses and getting rid of the car. I shudder to think what cost I could landed with when the vehicle is out of warranty

Go for people, there seems to be a pattern of Jaguar avoiding what ever warranty they can, even with what appears to be sensible engineering arguments.

Good Luck, Best Wishes and Regards, John
