Hi . I have just bought a 2006 jag XJ 6 2.7 diesel . It’s has been stood a week . This morning when I started it the vehicle to low warning came on . Could it be a fuse ? Or does the car need to go to a jag garage ?

I had this recently on my 2006 3.0 XJ350. The warning light should go off after a short while when the suspension comes up to its driving height. If the car is left for a few days it can settle down on its suspension. Thats what the garage told me. If warning keeps coming back you may have an air compressor or other problem.

Hope that helps

Hi

Try charging the battery overnight

These are really fussy about low battery voltages

Diesel eat batteries, especially on short runs, they need at least 20 minutes running just to put back in, what was taken out, just by starting it

if the overnight charge works, it may need a new battery

if you do only short runs, you may want to purchase a smart charger like a CTEK to keep it topped up, thse can be left on all the time to keep the battery perfect

cheers

Joe
