Hi,My name is John looking to buy his first XK what year would you suggest I know nothing about XKs what ones should I buy and not to buy and do I need deep pockets.Thanks

Welcome to the forum blueboy.

It will largely depend on your budget. The XK8 96 -05 are very affordable the later ones being the ones to get, however, rust is now beginning to consume them.

The first x150’s with a 4.2L are also affordable but be wary of any that have not had the A/C “duckbill” modification done.

The later x150’s with a 5L are superb cars and will put a permanent smile on your face.

Have a search around the market place, narrow it down and then ask some more questions.
