Speedometer doesn’t work 2006 XK8

My 2006 XK8 speedometer needle just hangs. Sometimes it bounces. Odometer works. Shop in the states said it requires new motor. Any suggestions?

hi

dashes or instruments are coded to the car, so best option is get it repaired, theres usually plenty of place that repair them and offer great guarantees

replace them and getting them coded would be a lot more expensive
