I have a 2007 jaguar x type estate awd automatic. 83,000 miles .

Starting last night the car has started making a terrible noise when the throttle  is not pressed , Doesnt need to be acceleration just on the power . When you lift off the power there is a terrible noise which could be described as grinding or rotation noise . The noise doesnt start immediatley ,it takes a few seconds and completly disapears when the throttle is even tickled . All the wheel bearings have been checked and passed. it sounds like a drivetrain issue .

Is this something any one has experienced or has any knowledge of .

Thank you in advance for any help or advice .
