Oil and filter change on 2019 XF 2L diesel is it a DIY proposition for a handy guy?

My XF Sportbrake Portfolio is not due a service for another 11 months according to the Jag schedule, ie every 2 years 20,000 miles.

My habit with my previously owned cars has been to do an Oil and filter change every 12 months or 10000 miles.

I am fairly handy with a spanner and would like to tackle it myself.

Has anyone out there done this and is it a diy prospect. If so what are the snags and must I use Castrol Edge Professional Oil?

The care is now just out of warranty.

I am a great believer in Oil / filter changes every 12 months, all be it my S-Type only does around 5,000 miles per annum. I always use a premium grade Oil of the specific Jaguar recommendation.

Best Wishes, John
