I've just bought a 2005 S type, so this may not be kosher. The wipers needed changing and I was supplied with Bosch 608 S wipers. The S type doesn't apparently need a service position. Assuming you have Bosch blades: disconnect the washer pipe, squeeze the area with raised, moulded lines together - just beyond the 'J' bend. A section of the cover swings open to allow the blade to be pushed towards the arm root to remove it. Refitting is the reverse.

The first blade took over an hour to do, the second about 30 seconds. Learning curve - I suspect the first of many!

Changed mine about three months ago. Yes they are fiddly but it can be done if you go steady. I padded the bonnet edge with a microfibre cloth just in case there was ant contact with the paintwork accidentally .

Best Wishes and Regards, John
