Jaguar Owner at Last

hey everyone,. ive finally got a car made by my favourite company as a kid, very happy with it. it is only an x-type but combined with my love of ford its probably the most suited lol. its the 3.0l v6 sport awd and i do have a couple of queries that i cant find much about. firstly where can i get a disc for the sat nav? and the adaptor i may need for the tv? if this is possible. and the how do the wing mirrors fold back? i cant find anything inside and feel like they'll break if i try manually.

Hi ---First of all I welcome you to the club and you can enjoy your jaguar with us -----You say its only a X-Type ??? they are a fine car -I remember when they came out I thought and wished that one day I would own one and i do know and I love it ?? mine is a 2002 --I didn't think the mirrors folded and tried with no joy then one day a mad driver came by me very close  and banged my mirror and it folded with no damage --So they do ???--

Welcome to the forum/club.

As for SatNav discs, there are always quite a few on the internet advertised for sale and the likes of eBay often has many listed for sale.

Not certain how up to date you want the disc to be but I do believe the most up to date discs that were produced for Jaguar is 2012.

I could well be wrong, but someone else will be certain to have greater knowledge on this subject and will reply in due course.

thanks. yeh i never know what kind of a response from  people on an owners club hence why i said only an x type. i love it and everything about it. and keen to learn more about it. 

i did look at eBay discs but wasnt sure as ya never know what you get on there sometimes. Do you know if the screen can be used for anything else? ie: dvd's? got a feeling thats a daft question but i cant find much on it. 

may have another look at wing mirrors then.

If you purchase Denso disc they should be OK as they were original supply.
