can any one help on this i have recently purchased  a 2016 portfolio with the 8 inch screen ,that fails to connect to my android phone apps

all that it does show i contacts ,calender , and music , for advice on this i contacted customer support  at coventry  who asked for the reg 

and vin no to give to there technical department to run some checks on the vehicle , on which they replied that my vehicle was SOTA enabled and needed connecting up to recieve the new up dates as it needed several doing to bring it up to date, on this i booked it in to sytners jaguar land rover in stockport  which they said it would be £190 pound to link it up

so the car was with them for a full day , on collecting it i was told that they could do nothing as the car was not SOTA enabled so i am now confused with coventry saying it was enabled,

i have the jaguar apps on my galaxy phone but it will not connect  is there any after market 10,25 infortainment that i cauld have fitted or any other suggestions  to have Apple play and Android
