hi everybody,

i search inquiry to ground clearance to my jaguar xk8 1998. i have my front very lower. i have change bearing, bush, ball, absorber and spring ( suplex) and i don't can drive my car!!

have you return experience to probleme with lower clearance to jaguar xk8?

can only be the springs, nothing else will effect the height, unless it has lowered shoch absorbers on it which are shorter

The top mounting on the spring can fail, the rubber deteriorates and that can lower the car. The only other thing is the spring has compressed due to age. The shock absorbers don’t affect the ride hight. 

Check the ride hight from the centre of the wheel to the wheel arch and see how much you have lost in clearance.

if you buy shock absorber that are for lowered cars the shocks are shorter

so yes lowered shock absorbers can lower the car
