Hi Guys, new to this forum

have just acquired a 2003 S type R,

a Japanese repatriation 45000 miles absolutely rust free and looks as though it has just come of the production line. I am trying to fit phone and Bluetooth but when checked for the spare plugs behind the sat nav, CD and amp they are not there and I guess the care has not been pre wired. it is the single screen later model touch screen nav. i have also cheched underneath the glove box but again no wires whatsoever. I have purchase a later x type combined phone/Bluetooth module as well as voice and Mike. Does anyone know or it may be possible to wire this directly into the head unit and locate them within the dash area, sure there must be some avalible space nearby to save having to run the wires through the car as I don't expect there is enough spare wires in the loom. If it is does anyone have the wiring details. open to any other suggestions. many thanks

hi

the wiring should be there, the ends are usually taped in a sort of foam

you want the later type plastic module that does both, phone and bluetooth

you will also need a bluetooth antenna, additional fibre loop and a mic for your roof console or the later mic that goes in the roof lining but plugs into the same place in the roof console

if you try fit the earlier dual modules, phone module and bluetooth module, its a nightmare as all the wiring in the connectors is wrong, at both ends boot and armrest, as there wired for handset not bluetooth

though the Jap version do miss a lot of the uk spec stuff.

cheers

Joe

thanks both.

there is definitely no phone plug in either the boot or the armrest.

Today I went to a breakers and cut out the boot loom which has got the phone connector on it but could really do with a wiring diagram now so I can trace through to the head unit

any ideas

best regards
