XKR wont crank

2007 4.2 xkr (43k miles)has been in storage for 8 months; battery dead so fitted new battery. Everything turns on /lights up but engine will not crank and alarm sounding 

starter stuck?

hard reset needed?

Have not checked fuses yet

Check the voltage of the new battery first as well as the connections.

Change the batteries in the remotes.

Check the brake pedal switch is working correctly.

Try again.
