2006 X-type clutch replacement special tools required?

Hi,聽 My recently-acquired diesel X type's dual mass flywheel is going the way of all flesh so I have ordered an aftermarket replacement plus a clutch kit while the gearbox is dropped聽 out. The parts company says special tools are required for the clutch installation. Is this so and (if so) can the average non-specialist garage work around this issue?
