Just bought a 2010 xf 3.0 v6 and after reading posts by other owners i am starting to have some serious concerns. Went to fuel up after delivery as ive never seen a car come off a forecourt with any fuel in the tank, to find out i have the dreaded sender unit fault. The car is beautiful to look at and drive, i just hope i havent invested in a bottomless money pit.

Hi Steve, and welcome to the group.

I also purchased a 2010 XF 3.0 V6 about 2 years ago. To be honest, I don't think the problems are any different to that of any other car manufacturer.

However, I have replaced the cam belt, rear suspension arm, crossover valve, 4 new tyres, alternator pully and soon to have pads and discs all round to name but a few issues. These do add up over the years!! ££££££££

Hi Steve,

Welcome to Jaguar Owners Club🙂

If you have just bought car I would go back and tell them.

They may not have put fuel in because they knew about the fault.

I bought a Jaguar from South Wales some time ago, found it had problem

with Keys and few minor faults made them come and collect to fix.

Best Regards,

Julie.

Thanks Carl and aubrey for the welcome, i guess i was just suffering from a little buyers remorse. I really do love the car. Just replaced a merc CLK with the Jag and the comfort and style are worlds apart, heres hoping to a long and happy relationship. Previously owned a 1984 XJ6 rare manual box and a 1976 V12 XJS, i wish i had the foresight to have kept a hold on those...the follies of youth lol.

Hi Steve,

Yes I regret selling some cars I had in the past that are now worth quiet a bit more than then.

The XF is a beautiful car, I am sure you will really love driving it.

Kind Regards,

Julie.
