Blind Spot Function

Well, managed to remove door panel and mirror successfully. However I did find that my mirror was a 16 pin and the s/hand purchase was 14 pin obviously the extra pins are for the blind spot detection. I have installed it as it was in great condition and only cost £30. Everything works auto fold, indicator, puddle light and reverse auto dip but I have yellow warning for blind spot error, irritating but small price to pay. Is there any way of disabling the blind spot function?

I imagine the only way to switch it off is by using jag specific sdd computery stuff

Thanks Vic, scoured the internet but could not find anything. Thought I might be able to do it through my diagnostics but no luck,
