S-Type 2.7D 2005. Smartphone bluetooth connections

I connected my old Xperia 5121 using bluetooth without any problems but when I try to connect my wifes 1 year old Redmi I get "Cannot connect MMI error" How many phones can be connected to the car via bluetooth? Cheers Mike
